AMP Announces Christopher Moses of the Alliance Theater as the Senior Send Off Speaker<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

We’re thrilled to announce our Keynote Speaker for the AMP Senior Send Off as <\/span>Christopher Moses<\/b>, The Jennings Hertz Artistic Director at the Alliance Theatre. With over two decades in professional theater, Christopher is a beloved figure in the Atlanta Arts and Culture scene. His unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation of performers and artists shines through every aspect of his leadership and work. We’re privileged to have him impart his wisdom and insight as we commission this graduating class!<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with the keynote address, you will hear remarks from our Artist Speaker Timothy Miller, Student Speaker Sage Lima-Mae Jeffries, and Alumna Speaker Shania Swann (AMP ’23). <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/span>The AMP Class of 2024 is comprised of some of our longest standing students, with several having joined AMP through our after school recreation center programs. They have grown with our organization, from performing locally as beginners, to taking part in our first international tours to Canada and New Zealand as experienced musicians.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While it will be bittersweet to send our seniors off into their post-secondary pursuits, we are incredibly grateful to have played a part in their musical and personal journeys. As we celebrate their milestone as graduates, our Senior Send Off marks a special time of of reflection and vision casting for our students, staff and faculty.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

About Christopher Moses<\/b><\/p>\n

Christopher Moses has worked in professional theater for twenty years and was awarded the Governor\u2019s Award for Arts and Humanities for his work in the field. After working at the Alliance for ten years, he became the Director of Education in 2011, overseeing the Alliance Theatre Institute (twice recognized as an Arts Model by the Federal Department of Education), Theatre for Youth and Families programming, and the Acting Program. Under his leadership, the Alliance launched its Kathy & Ken Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young program, providing fully interactive professional theater experiences for children ages newborn through five; the Alliance Teen Ensemble, performing world premiere plays commissioned for and about teens; Palefsky Collision Project, where teens produce a new work after colliding with a classic text; and Alliance@work, a professional development program designed for the business sector. Moses also expanded the Alliance\u2019s summer camp program to serve over 3,000 children in multiple locations across Atlanta. In 2014, Chris added the title Associate Artistic Director and has continued to expand the Alliance\u2019s commissioned works for youth and family audiences.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Sage is President of the AMPbassadors, the student government at AMP, a cellist in the AMP Senior Youth Orchestra, and a soprano in the AMP Senior Youth Choir.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Shania (AMP \u201823) played the violin at AMP. She is currently studying at Middle Georgia State University, majoring in Aviation Science and Management.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Timothy is an Operative Tenor who actively performs and teaches as an Assistant Professor of Voice and Music at Morehouse College.
