The Atlanta Music Project is pleased to announce the AMP Academy<\/a> Rare Instrument Program, available to young music enthusiasts interested in learning and performing with AMP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This extraordinary program offers tuition-free, virtual private lessons for youth in Metropolitan Atlanta. In alignment with AMP’s mission to empower underserved youth to realize their possibilities through music, this 1-on-1 instruction is available to any student, regardless of their prior experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students admitted to the AMP Academy Rare Instrument Program will receive weekly virtual lessons with an AMP teaching artist, perform solo recitals and even participate in masterclasses with renowned artists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most important, this intensive music instruction will prepare even novice students to successfully audition for AMP’s most advanced ensembles, the AMP Youth Orchestras and Choirs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spots in the AMP Academy Rare Instrument Program are limited to the instruments below. If you know of a young student interested in studying privately and one day performing with AMP ensembles, this is the perfect opportunity for them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AMP ACADEMY RARE INSTRUMENT\u00a0PROGRAM\u00a0
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Students interested in one of the following instruments may apply:<\/strong>
Orchestral: oboe, bassoon, tuba, viola, percussion, French horn
Vocal: tenor, baritone, bass

In addition, a student is eligible to apply for the AMP Academy Rare Instrument\u00a0Program if they fit this\u00a0criteria:<\/strong>
\u00a0<\/strong>– 3rd grade and \u00a0above (Orchestral instruments)
– 8th grade and above (Voice\u00a0only)\u00a0\u00a0

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong>
\u00a0To apply, please complete the\u00a0AMP ACADEMY APPLICATION<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Students who\u00a0are admitted\u00a0into the program will be required to attend a family interview at a later date.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
